2008-09: Scored the game-winning goal and assisted on three others in 6-3 win at Victoria Nov. 19. Registered the first hat trick of his pro career in 4-3 win at Vegas Dec. 27. Scored game-tying goal with 2:15 remaining in eventual 3-2 shootout win vs. Victoria Jan. 14. Scored game-winning goal with 36 seconds left in OT to beat Phoenix 5-4 March 13. Scored game-tying goal in 3-2 win over ‘Runners the next night. Finished +7 during the regular season. Scored second goal in Game 2 victory over Utah in the playoffs April 11. Had a goal and two assists in Game 2 of the West Finals April 25, an 8-2 rout of Victoria. Scored game-tying goal in third period of eventual 6-4 win at Victoria May 2. Had a goal and an assist in 4-1 win in Game 2 of the conference finals vs. Las Vegas May 10. Had a goal and two assists in 5-1 win at Vegas May 14 that sent Alaska to the Kelly Cup Finals. '08, a deal that sent Matt Robinson East, Imbeault led Johnstown with 26 goals in only 56 ECHL games and was named to the American Conference all-star team. He did not appear in the game as a result of being on loan to Providence (AHL). Imbeault completed his rookie year with eight points (4g-4a) in six playoff tilts as the Chiefs advanced to the second round before falling to eventual Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati. He also earned ECHL Player of the Week honors in late February for scoring eight points (3g-5a) and two game-winning goals in a four-game span. Alex played four years of junior hockey in the QMJHL, steadily increasing his goal totals from six to 21 to 29 to 34 in his final season in 2006-07. In his last two junior campaigns, playing for Victoriaville and Chicoutimi, Imbeault racked up 145 points (63g-82a) in only 116 games.
