Career Notes: Drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the fifth round (#141 overall) in 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Won a national championship at Michigan State in 2006-07 as a junior. Assisted on former Chief Chris Mueller’s empty net goal with 1.2 seconds left in national title game against Boston College. Opted to forgo senior season at MSU to sign w/Ottawa. Played 61 games as a rookie between AHL’s Binghamton (18 games) and ECHL’s Elmira (43 games). Second on Sioux Falls in points (63), first in assists (37), and first in PIMs (168) in final year of juniors. Team captain and MVP for Sioux Falls in 2003-04 and named MVP of the 2004 USHL Prospects/All-Star Game after tallying two goals including the overtime game winner.
