Denny was selected in the second round of the 2005 NHL entry draft by the Atlanta Thrashers. He played four junior seasons with the Lewiston MAINEiacs of the QMJHL before making his pro debut with the Gladiators in 2007. He played in two games with the Gladiators last season. He won a President’s cup with the MAINiacs in 2007. He says the best thing about being a hockey player is having the summers off, and if he wasn’t playing professionally, he’d be attending school. His hobbies include hunting and fishing. His favorite NHL team growing up was the Detroit Red Wings. His favorite food is moose meat, his favorite movie is Happy Gilmore, and his favorite sport other than hockey is baseball. In the summers, he likes to go home to spend time with friends and family.
